My name is Mbwana-Kassim. I am a boy aged fourteen years. I learn in KAG school. I live with my mother and two siblings.
My day begins very early in the morning. I normally wake up at four. When I wake up, I say a short prayer to thank Almighty. I then get to the bathroom and clean my body. When I finish cleaning my body, I go straight to the kitchen and make myself breakfast. I then sit at the table and take my breakfast. The food always tastes delicious. It always takes me thirty minutes to do all these things. I then take my books and revise. It is always good for me to revise at that time since everybody is silent.
I take one hour to revise my work. When it reaches half past five, I change my clothes and go straight to the mosque to perform my morning prayer. When I come back from the mosque, I put on my school uniform and say bye to my relatives. I then go to the bus stop and wait for the school bus. The school bus comes and takes us to school. When I arrive at school I take my homework books to the responsible teachers. I then get to my class and do my personal studies.
When it reaches at seven o’clock, the bell is rang and the first lesson begins. The lesson ends at twenty minutes to eight. When the lesson is over, we break and go for assembly. The teacher on duty always tells us to behave well. When assembly is over, we get back to our respective classes. The other lessons begin immediately we get into our classes. When two lessons are over, we get out for short break. We then come back and continue with the lessons. We then go for long break. When we get back to class we learn two lessons and then go for lunch.
Lunch is served at a small building thatched with ‘makuti’. Some of my friends normally complain that is little for them. I then go to the field to play football. Football is my favourite game. My friends call me, the boy with the magic football. When lunch time is over; we get back to class and continue with our studies. When the afternoon lessons are over, we go to our clubs. When the time is over we sweep our classes. After sweeping the classes, we normally get back to the classes and start the evening studies.
We normally finish evening studies at a quarter to seven. The school bus then takes us home. Before taking us home, it goes to different places. We arrive at home late in the night. It is always at eight. I then go home, change uniforms and have a bath. I then go to the mosque to pray. When I come back home, I take my supper. I then do my homework. I normally sleep at a half past nine. That is how I spend my day.
